I can vouch for Neil on this one. The book did change his attitude towards his bike amongst other things so much so that it made me want to read it. But I don't have a bike. Maybe it will change my attitude to shoes? I do run those to the ground and keep buying pairs...

Of course not! Previously I used to run my bikes into the ground and get another cheap one. Now I look after it, oiling it and cleaning at least once every three months.

Not quite sure if that was a sarcastic remark about the book! I prefer to think it wasn't :)

Hi Matt,

'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' is a marvellous book and well worth persisting with. It completely changed my attitude to look after my bicycle.

Adam and Joe's podcast is different to all other BBC podcasts in that they really put the effort in to distinguish it from the radio show.

Ester bought me 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' which being the lazy git I am, have only read half way through so far. Maybe you've read it already being a keen reader, but if not I would highly recommend it for you Neil once you stop your info. fast. The ideas posed in the book have helped me to look at human differences in a new light.

I have this vision of a marauding mob of overly enthusiastic 20 something bores reciting the infamous innuendo laden sketch with zippy, george et al. Reciting it repeatedly and laughing hysterically.

Finally, are Adam and Joe still funny since they went more mainstream, not listened to them in ages?
